Show Starter!
about us

about SHOW STARTER™ Our team of top industry talent has worked in non-fiction programming since well before the reality boom created more content than seasoned show runners to oversee it! We are a service provided by Los Angeles-based reality TV production company Tidal Wave TV.

SHOW STARTER™ was founded to fill the urgent need for experienced producers to set up the many pilots, series, and entire programming slates for both existing and new networks (broadcast, cable and new media). We know that you might have literally dozens of shows on your slate or you may have broken into non-fiction with a great show concept and no idea how to effectively execute it. We also know that broad- and podcast deadlines don't wait for you to track down managing producers, learn how a show is run or fully staff up. So we take care of your pre-pro...and you and your show team can surge ahead within the structure of a sound production process.

Our team includes an executive producer, line producers, supervising producers, field and story talent, a post supervisor, a production attorney, a production accountant and a former network executive, whose combined credits span virtually all broadcast and cable outlets and the many genres of non-fiction TV. In order to continue retaining top talent in the SHOW STARTER™ system, we can't tell your their names, but you'll recognize and appreciate the top quality of their work.

We are happy to share that SHOW STARTER™ is helmed by reality show runner DMA, whose years producing, creating and "rescuing" non-fiction shows have earned her the nickname "Systems Queen."

about DMA For more than a decade, DMA has worked as a writer, producer and show runner of dozens of highly rated non-fiction television programs for such networks as CBS, UPN, Fox, AMC, Travel Channel, Bravo, History Channel, A&E, Lifetime, Disney Channel, TLC and more.
